Digimon Adventure and Adventure 02 didn't kill a Digimon until Episode 11.
Indeed, and this is literally the first time in this show that a Digimon was about to die (Last episode didn't count because they just got trapped in the scythe), that fact alone tells you that we will be seeing deaths in the future.
Yeah. And I like Hiro actually wanted to help him despite what Clockmon has done so far.
Digimon dying =/= Good Show. And at least this show hasn't been solely MC focused so far like Adventure 2020 was for its majority
Lol, so many comments complaining about the no killing. Digimon fans are surprisingly bloodthirsty. No wonder Digimon Tamers is so popular.
But seriously, guys, you need to watch more anime. It's obvious that Hiro would choose to save his enemy. Characters with OP talk no jutsu only kill when forced/necessary, and choose the befriending/saving way 90% of the time.
its not about the killing
its about how talk no jutsu can trun every
bloodthirsty enemies to good guys lol
Like clock mon almost killed bunch of people
and wanted to kill the mc to
I'm not that angry about the "no killing". :3 It just shows that the characters aren't violent fighters and instead wishes to understand/help their opponents instead.
Paradoxe : Besides, they're kids. And kids are naive to the point where they'll help anyone asking for help. -___- I'm waiting for an episode where that kindness backfire on them. Not that kindness is a bad thing but too much kindness makes you dumb.
Dunno what's that got to do with watching more anime, talk no jutsu is actually pretty rare if you watch genres other than shounen.
you really do need to watch anything pre 2010 then talk no jutsu is everywhere FATE, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop are all big names not shonen with it but it isnt the OP 90% conversion rate. Hell Shield hero and REDO Healer has Talk no jutsu too.
Yeah, but it isn't 90% conversion rate, and especially not 100%.
For those complaining about the lack of killing, try to remember that in Adventure 01 and 02, we didn't actually get a Digimon death until a little after episode 10. Until those points, all they did was destroy rings or eject gears out of their opponents. As for the lack of evolution, Tamers went a pretty long time without letting the main characters digivolve, and even after it happened, it was quite a while before it became a regular thing. More often than not, they'd defeat opponents in their rookie forms while using trading cards as power-ups. And even after they reached their ultimate levels, again, it not only took a pretty long time, but it didn't happen all the time, either. There would be times they'd just enter their champion levels and that was it. And heck, you had to wait even longer for their ultimate levels in Adventure 01/02. So yeah, try to be patient. As I said in a comment on an earlier episode, this is pretty typical for a Digimon series. The first few episodes are mostly there to establish basic plot details at best and show off the main Digimon's abilities before introducing the main plot and getting more intense with the action. Granted, yes, it is a little weird we haven't seen a digivolution from any of the other leads yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
The first kill of both Adventure and 02 was in Episode 11, Bakemon for Adventure and Airdramon for 02.
It's not quite so weird when you consider angoramon and jellymon seem to be already at champion level as a base, like nekomon. Which is a good thing, evolving into champion ends up being a basic in most fights and takes up a lot of unnecessary time. As for everything else, agreed, got high hopes for this season.
WTF is Nekomon? You mean Tailmon?
Angoramon and Jellymon are rookie level
I can’t help but think of King Crimson during this episode.
Yes, let's beat him to save him.
In essence, half of CPR is powerfully squeezing the patient's heart.
Pretty sure that tornadoes and flaming fists aren't part of most CPR...
I mean the principle is the same, you're beating someone to save him/her.
Its the Digimon way their law of nature kinda like the Jungle Book but backwards
Naruto lul
"I guess I can't attack people anymore after meeting folks like you." ...are you kidding me!? D:<
*sigh*
i think clockmon might be the next leomon of the series!
my day disappeared while watching stuff on the internet, it must be the work of clockmon!
Another key episode. Explaination of Digimon stage of materialization. Bokomon and Tapirmon proved to be useful in this episode. More GrussGammamon references.
and Tapirmon holy ring is actually had use.
This episode was ok. Another example of talk no jutsu and power of friendship.
Though when Hiro mentioned "one person camping" I got the feeling like we don't really know anything about Mc at all. I bet that the darkness that comes from Gammamon is actually Hiro's depression or loneliness.
This ringing sound effect was so good. So loud that I really felt that my head is about to hurt. It's nice to know that production team put focus on such mundane thing like correct sfx.
its pretty weird
there are so many good animes out
yet i enjoy this one almost more then the top ones lol
its a great watch pretty sad its so underrated
its not the greatest one but still enjoyable,
First scene episode me sleep falling from sky what mean that?
A nightmare, you are stressed and you can actually control your dreams. :P
Yeah, that one was weird...
Out of body experience.
It's getting so boring now. No evolutions yet except for Gammamon and they don't have the balls to kill an evil Digimon. There is no story even after 9 episodes. This series gonna suck harder than adventure reboot.
Tamers was basically the best season and it also started out this slow.
Every episode has been individually enjoyable.
Helping the digimon was consistent with hiro's character, and the characters so far have been believably written instead of being shonen puppets.
We a loooooong way off comparing this with the absolute dumpsterfire that was reboot.
Would you say the same thing now?
not anymore, it's definitely overstayed it's welcome by this point. The increasingly fucked up episodes were neat until they surpassed the point of what can be believably handwaved away as they have been.
I agree. I dropped watching it some time ago.
dafuq? I can't say for the future of course but right now I'm enjoying this way more than Digimon 2020 at a whole, that one literally is a mess of plot after zeedmillenniummon, this story actually has consistency
Finally, someone I can agree with, like did Hiro forget that Clockman was trying to kill him. Hiro was like nah let me save you. Me...WTF? I would have let it die. Let it shatter, these hero's wanna save everyone... >.<"
Boy you wouldn't have lasted FATE at all when it released with how impatient you are. Sub context also seems to elude you i feel bad for the simple minded that are addicted to junk isekai.
Paradoxe : Let's just agree on the fact that they're kids and that kids easily agrees to help people asking for help. -__-
Yes. This really didn't make any sense at all.
Yeah, I agree with the lack of evolution so far. There was some episodes where the other two could have evolved but it looks like we're going to see Gammamon's three evolutions before the rest of them...
true what is the stroy even ?
I mean we know that hiros dad disappeared
But it doesnt look like hiro cares anymore to find any answeres or
finding him really
Feel like he is just going with the flow
Smart monkey professor Digimon!
Wait, the whole "when you mess with someone's sense of time, you also mess with ther sense of space" is true?
Space-time are way more related to each other than I thought
You're in luck. Jojo's part 6 anime will explain it really well in the future.
We nakama with clockmon now. Power of friendship let's goooooo
Say what you want about adventure 2020 but at least it had the balls to kill plenty of digimons.
